Damaniayat Islands

The Damaniyat Islands are a protected marine reserve off the coast of Muscat, Oman. Dives are based around the various islands with depth up to 30 m. We dove from 0-20 m and found amazing, healthy coral with tons of parrotfish, huge eels, and awesome rays swimming with us. We also found several trustees sleeping or feeding in the coral gardens.

During August and September it is not uncommon to see whale sharks on the boat ride out with pods of 30-130 reported in the past.
