Dive Notes:

4th Dive of our 2019 Musandam Liveaboard Dhow Trip.

After the sunset, we went for a fun night dive. No teaching, just enjoying the underwater world at night.

One of my favorite things about night diving in Musandam is the bioluminescent plankton that turns the dive into a light show if you’re brave enough to turn off your torch! Izzy and I both love to turn off our torches for a few minutes and then flick our fingers towards each other. The effect is somewhat like fireworks in your face – without the noise of course.

Interesting Stuff:

At one point, millions and millions of tiny shrimp surrounded us. So much so that we could hardly see anything as they congregated in the light beams of our torches. I don’t know if this scorpionfish was happy or upset by the hordes!
